Welcome to Bellingen, Dorrigo & Urunga

From the mountains to the sea, the Bellinger Region provides wonderfully diverse and abundant opportunities for inspiration, rejuvenation, and real enjoyment. The adventure and scenic wonderland of the Dorrigo Plateau, the charming cultural vibrancy of Bellingen and the valley, and pristine coastline of Urunga and the seaboard. This is sub-tropical NSW at its best - take your time to explore the relaxing and vibrant journies of Waterfall Way.

The charming town of Bellingen sits in the heart of the valley on the banks of the Bellinger River. It has quite a history,  reflected in the remarkable buildings that line the streets. The people of Bellingen are a diverse and creative bunch, many of whom have settled from the city, bringing a cosmopolitan feel to the town. Bellingen and the valley offer outdoor activities and swimming holes, great self-contained and B&B accommodation, as well as regular arts and music events.

Back down on the coast, Urunga is nestled between the surf and the estuary . The boardwalk is a must, stretching across the mangroves and estuary takes you to the blue Pacific and an unspoilt beach stretching south to Hungry Head. North of the Bellinger River, you'll find the iconic family beach holiday village of Mylestom, complete with river lido, and a great fishing festival in summer and to the north you can escape to a coastline bordered by littoral rainforest.
